The Emmes Company, LLC is searching for an Employee Relations Manager located in our Rockville, Maryland, Frederick, Maryland and/or Tysons Corner, Virginia office. Primary Purpose The Employee Relations Manager develops, implements and promotes business activities that enhance overall employee engagement and overall employee satisfaction while ensuring uniformity of application and compliance of employment policies, practices and procedures with county, state and federal regulations. Responsibilities Recommends policy and procedure to align with overall employee relations strategy Develops employee relations programs which strengthen overall employee engagement and employee satisfaction in all Emmes locations Manages performance review, employee recognition and service award programs Ensures uniform application of workplace policies and procedures Supports Training & Development with any training related to Employee Relations Ensures Employee Handbooks remain updated Remains current with changes in employment law affecting Emmes Provides guidance, support and counsel to employees on employee relations' issues and workplace policies and procedures Management of employee issues to include investigation and resolution Manages activities to ensure the uniform application of workplace policies and procedures across the organization Manages the process to collect employment experience to include new employee interviews, stay interviews, separation interviews and internal audits of employee relations matters With oversight from the Director of HR, will manage the annual completion of various government reports (AAP, EEO-1, VETS-100), and keeps management informed of AAP data Collaborates with the Associate Director of Human Resources on engagement surveys and company recognition awards Lead the Emmes Mentorship Program Works with the Associate Director of Human Resources on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program Performs special projects and analyses around internal measurements and metrics to monitor HR programs (e.g., employee demographics, turnover trends, data collection and analysis, internal and external benchmarks) Experience Bachelor's degree with 8 years of human resources experience to include employee relations Knowledge of, and ability to understand and apply, federal, state and local law and their relation to employee relations matters Strong interpersonal and communication skills required for interfacing with all levels of management Demonstrated management and individual contributor coaching skills Previous management or leadership skills Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to work as part of a team Detailed orientated CONNECT WITH US!!
