The Vivarium Associate will coordinate operations of Regeneron's vivariums. Provides administrative support to employees in the Vivarium and Veterinary Services departments, including Sr. Director, Associate Directors, Managers, Coordinators, Supervisors, Scientists, and animal care personnel. Interact strongly with VG Animal Production Coordinator.
Clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, arranging conference calls
Coordinate vivarium operations for all vivarium facilities
Manage files on the department SharePoint site.? Data entry into database systems and various Microsoft office programs.
Coordinate animal acquisitions, exports, and transfers between facilities. Effectively communicate to all involved personnel
Database and record maintenance for rodent exports
-Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
-Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (both written and verbal); provide excellent customer service to internal clients.
-Ability to deal and work effectively with people at various locations and levels in the organization
-Sense of urgency and high level of energy?-Ability to manage projects with modest supervision?-Ability to deal with highly confidential information?-Excellent planning and time management skills; Adaptability a must
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in a biological field
- 2 or more years experience in laboratory animal science or related field (preferred)
- Experience with databases
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills and ability to work well with others, including research staff, vet services, vivarium personnel, and management.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook,
- Basic knowledge of biology, specifically genetics, is a plus.
