Responsible for the production operations of molding, paint, and assembly processes in an automotive manufacturing setting. Manage all production employees in the Production dept
Manage the activities of the shop floor, under the direction of the Plant Director/ Plant Manager and follow established procedures and approved processes.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet Company goals and objectives, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
Ensure thorough training throughout the production departments for efficient department operations.
Organizes and promotes Improvement efforts.
Enforce company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. Ensure employees follow standard work procedures, standards of conduct, and performance expectations under supervisors .
Enforce supervisors to consistency and fairness in handling employee matters in compliance with company policies, and federal and state regulations.
Maintain compliance with ISO standards and regulations.
Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls.
Accountable for meeting production schedules, ensuring product quality, and for performing all essential functions in accordance with company expectations.
Bilingual English/Spanish very helpful.
'Hands On' plant floor active position- Not an office job.

  • Supervise daily manufacturing process and personnel scheduling

  • Improve plant performance through process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques
  • Assess new/existing manufacturing processes
  • Checked before the manufacturing process
  • Manage the manufacturing team to ensure production schedule and quality requirements are met
  • Develop team leaders in the lean manufacturing environment
  • Supervise the activities of the manufacturing employees
  • Develop lean principals throughout the manufacturing floor
  • Supervise all manufacturing activities within the department
  • Ensure product quality while supporting lean manufacturing
  • Support safety initiatives including STOP
  • Develop and update manufacturing procedures
  • Reporting for all manufacturing locations
  • Oversee the performance of a manufacturing team
